Water heater questions
What does a new water heater cost?
Tank replacement starts around $2,100 installed, and most tank jobs land between $2,000 and $4,500 depending on the unit, the fuel type, and what the install involves. Tankless starts around $4,500. Those are planning numbers from our Jacksonville price guide, not a live quote. We confirm the exact flat-rate price on site, and you approve it before any work starts.
Should I get a tank or tankless water heater?
Tank heaters have lower upfront costs and work well for most homes. Tankless costs more initially but provides endless hot water and energy savings. We help you decide based on your needs.
How long does the installation take?
Standard tank replacement takes 2 to 4 hours. Tankless installation or fuel conversions may take longer due to additional requirements.
What size water heater do I need?
Size depends on household size and usage. Generally 1 to 2 people need 30 to 40 gallons, 3 to 4 people need 40 to 50 gallons, and 5 or more people need 50 to 80 gallons or tankless.
How do I know if it is time to replace instead of repair?
Signs include age (10 to 15 years for tanks), rusty water, strange noises, leaks, inconsistent temperatures, and higher energy bills. We inspect it and tell you honestly which one makes more sense for your situation.
Do you haul away the old water heater?
Yes. We remove and properly dispose of your old water heater as part of the replacement service. No extra trips needed.
